God Remembered to Prepare The Way
Luke 1:5-25
The Hebrew word, zakar – “to remember” is used over 200 times in the Hebrew Old Testament. It can have the idea of appropriate actions included with the act of remembering.
METANARRATIVE
The Gospel is the metanarrative!
THE HUMAN STAGE
Zechariah (God remembers) and Elizabeth (God is my oath) lived as faithful servants in the midst of both disappointment and exhilaration.
John the Baptist would be invited to answer the unique call of God in his life.
THE GRAND HUMAN STAGE
God was at work, preparing His world for His Son!
